About the Association

The Mineral Water Association is an active member of the Federation of the Food and Drink Industries of the Czech Republic, and through this organisation provides feedback on proposed Czech and European legislature.

The association cooperates closely with the Non-alcoholic Drink Producers Association, the Czech Industrial Coalition for Packaging and the Environment, the Czech Confederation of Commerce and Tourism, and other professional associations.

Members of the Mineral Water Association are holders of many quality certifications: ISO, IFS, BRC and the ISO 22000 standard, which must be renewed each year by auditors of international organisations. This ensures that the quality systems in use are systematically reviewed, improved, and innovated.

Members of the Mineral Water Association promote a healthy water consumption regime. Through the Association’s education efforts, the general public receives adequate information about proper drinking habits. The members publish articles, give interviews, and prepare various materials for the media.

The Mineral Water Association monitors all relevant legislation as well as the development of products in the field, trying to prevent cases of administrative limitations of production and trade. Thanks only to the meticulous work of the Mineral Water Association, high quality and yet original and competitive mineral water is available in all countries in Europe.

The statutory body of the Mineral Water Association is the Executive Committee with two members, the chair and the vice chair.
The Account Auditor is a revision body, independent of the Executive Committee.
The Executive Committee is appointed for three years. Currently, the chairperson of the Committee is Ing. Jana Ježková, with MUDr. Jana Foltinová as the vice chair.
Members of the Mineral Water Association, represented by directors of the individual companies, have regular meetings once every two months.
